Is your child experiencing difficulties connecting with other children and making or maintaining friendships?

Kids Connect is a 10 week social skills program designed specifically for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

The next program commences in Term 3 2019 and is designed for girls and boys aged 8-11 years. It will focus onthe following aspects of social interactions:

  • understanding friendship
  • initiating and maintaining friendships
  • repairing friendships
  • coping with teasing and bullying.

Program format

The 10 week program will consist of one group for the child and one group for the parent(s) on the same day. The child group runs from 4:00pm-5:00pm and the parent group runs from 4:30pm-5:00pm (which focuses on how to extend and further develop your child’s social skills).

The program commences Monday 12th August and the last session is Monday 4th November.

Location

The 10 week program will be conducted at the Griffith University Psychology Clinic (Mt Gravatt campus).
