Is your child experiencing difficulties connecting with other children and making or maintaining friendships?
Kids Connect is a 10 week social skills program designed specifically for children on the Autism Spectrum.
The next program commences in Term 3 2023 and is designed for children aged 8-11 years. It will focus on the following aspects of social interactions:
- understanding friendship
- initiating and maintaining friendships
- repairing friendships
- coping with teasing and bullying.
Program format
The 10 week program will consist of one group for the child and one group for the parent(s) on the same day. The child group runs from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm and the parent group runs from 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm (which focuses on how to extend and further develop your child’s social skills).
The program commences 10 and 13 July 2023 and are held on Mondays or Thursdays from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
Location
The 10 week program will be conducted at the Griffith University Psychology Clinic (Mt Gravatt campus).
