We are currently seeking participants for a clinical trial titled “Passive Immunisation Against Hepatitis A”.

What do I have to do during the trial?

You will be required to have a blood test to check that you are not already immune to Hepatitis A. This blood test will also check whether you are immune to measles and rubella and that you have a normal blood count.

If you are eligible to participate in the trial, you will be given a single intramuscular injection of normal immunoglobulin and then blood tests to check antibody levels at days 0, 1, 3, 7, 28 and 50.

Eligibility criteria

You may be eligible to participate in the trial if you:

  • are 18 years of age or over
  • have never had a Hepatitis A infection
  • have never been vaccinated against Hepatitis A
  • weigh at least 51kg
  • are not pregnant.

What’s in it for me?

You will receive a free measles and rubella serology which will help you to find out whether you are immune.

In addition, you have the option to receive a free course of Hepatitis A vaccine at the completion of the trial
