Would you like to know what is causing your hay fever symptoms?
Would you like to trial a commercial nasal spray and contribute to clinical research?
If so, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical trial investigating the effects of commercial nasal sprays on symptoms of hay fever and their effects on specific immune cells in the nose.
The Clinical Trial Unit at Griffith University (Gold Coast Campus) in conjunction with the QLD Allergy Services clinic is looking for volunteers:
- aged between 18 and 65 years;
- with a more than 2 year history of moderate to severe hay fever ;
Participation in the trial is voluntary and involves an appointment at the QLD Allergy Services clinic for allergy testing, administration of a nasal spray for 1 week, and provision of nasal wash and blood samples on three occasions.
Participants will receive the results of their allergy tests, provision of a nasal spray to trial and keep, and will be offered the opportunity to enter a prize draw for a $50 Coles-Myer gift card.
