Investigational mRNA Flu Vaccine Study

Why is this study being conducted?

This is a Phase III trial evaluating an investigational seasonal influenza mRNA vaccine (mRNA-1010). The purpose of this study is to learn about the safety of the investigational vaccine as well as whether it produces an immune response in the body.

The study is enrolling people who:

  • Are over the age of 18
  • Are generally healthy
  • Have not had a flu vaccine in the last 6 months

There are other study requirements for taking part in the study. The study team will review these with participants who are willing to take part in the trial.

What happens during the study?

There are approximately 10 study visits/calls over the course of a year. Study activities vary between visits but include clinical assessments, blood tests, phone calls and review of an electronic diary.

Why should individuals consider participating in this study?

If a person is eligible to participate, their data may help the research team in learning to advance the development of an investigational mRNA-based flu vaccine that may protect against influenza. Participation in this study is completely voluntary, and participants can decide to withdraw at any time.
