Congratulations to current School of Allied Health Sciences PhD student, Anne Huang, who has received the Speech Pathology Australia Early Career Award at the annual Speech Pathology Australia conference this year.

The Speech Pathology Australia Early Career Award, which recognises members of Speech Pathology Australia who have demonstrated a continued commitment to the association during their early post-graduate years, was awarded to Anne because of her significant past and ongoing contributions to the Queensland Branch of Speech Pathology Australia. Having previously been heavily involved as student representative for Speech Pathology Australia, since graduation Anne has remained an enthusiastic and active member of the association and now holds a position as a committee member for the Queensland branch. During her time as a branch committee member Anne has led a branch advocacy forum, initiated several Queensland-focused advocacy projects, and is currently the co-leader of the Queensland branch’s advocacy portfolio.
