FREE health checks are available next week (Wednesday 18 May) 

To help celebrate ‘My health for life’s’ inaugural Health Check Week, our trained facilitators will be conducting FREE 15 minute health checks to help support the initiative and to promote health and wellbeing.

Location: Gold Coast campus G40 (4.64) or via a phone call.
When: Wednesday 18 May, from 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Cost: the program is completely free.
What: you will receive a FREE 15-minute risk assessment and health check to gain baseline measurements and assess your eligibility for the FREE My health for life program.

About the My health for life program 

Join a group of like-minded individuals also wanting to improve their health and reduce their risk of developing chronic disease. Meet regularly each week to:

– learn the evidence-based guidelines to improve your health
– discuss strategies to make small changes to your lifestyle
– set goals and plan for long-term, sustainable change
– gain support from other group members

Meet your health partner – Nicholas Steel

Nicholas is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and Accredited Exercise Scientist (AES with a passion for helping others move, improving their lifestyle and modifying their health holistically. He has experience working with a wide range of clients and conditions in both QLD and NSW amd is passionate about supporting those looking to get their health back on track.

My health for life is a Queensland Government funded program lead by Diabetes Queensland in partnership with the Heart and Stroke Foundations, Queensland Primary Health Network, Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland and Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council.
